What's the difference with Sigma and OG 2? I only ever played the original.
Also did they memory hole Ninja Gaiden 3? I remember playing an enhanced version of that on Wii U.

At the core, Sigma 2 rebuild NG2 around Sigma 1. Think it was slower, fewer enemies, easier, no dismemberment.
NG2 is playable on Xbox at higher resolutions and frame rates. Better option than this, but sucks they didn’t bring it to other platforms. NG1 Black also never gets ported. Maybe one of those “they deleted the original files” situations like Silent Hill.

There were articles about it around the time the master collection was about to be released.

Sigma are horrible games with bad enemy placement, reduced enemy presence, different upgrade system etc.
Yes this is still based on the shitty Sigma games.
However it does have gore and decapitation, and the game is still plenty hard on Mentor difficulty. Hard seems a bit easy.
I will try to emulate NG2 with Xenia, although Im having some issues with it

Amazing. There are dozens of these stories with Japanese developers.

Ultimate big dick move is to make a 10/10 .exe and then delete the source code
(ai will reverse engineer it for us in a few years anyway)

I am really enjoying this, for some reason I never played much of the sequel back in the day. Seems way easier than I was expecting though. Fair enough I'm not 13 anymore but I died once 6 missions in.
It's not as difficult as the first game I think.
There a lot of ways to cheese bosses in Ninja Gaiden 2 with projectiles and ninpo and such and by the time you hit the really difficult parts you've probably unlocked a lot of better skills and weapons. It was also pretty generous with health items because more enemies meant more funds to spend, I recall it was pretty easy to farm. The biggest enemy on the Xbox 360 was the framerate.

On what difficulty tho? :P Normal is super easy, warrior is a good balance. Mentor seems kinda insane with all the rocket spam lol
But OG NG2 was harder I believe.
Probably gonna dust off the Xbox this weekend just to play this to see if I can tell what has changed between the OG and Sigma.

There's a lot to like here.
First of all it hits you right in the member berries, not just for this game specifically, but how games used to be, and what we thought they might be like in the future at the time. There's something about the way that this game looks that matches what OG xbox ninja gaiden was in my memory but it's still nice to look at now.
The combat rules obviously and I love the unashamed nonsense. Werewolves in venice because reasons actually ruled.

I can't believe this is even a thing but it's rad as shit. I also saw they're making Ninja Gaiden 4 and it's made by Platinum. It looks sick and quite proper. What shocked me the most about NG2 remake has all the blood from the original Xbox version is present. Rad.
Very good port/remaster/remake whatever the hell it is supposed to be.
But very ez
Yes thats why play on hard at least, nothing below that is worthy of your time.
Mods are already incoming, cannot wait to make it more like classic NG2.
