looks incredible and will most likely be followed by a new game like the prime remake before prime 4

I get the vibe Miyamoto always wanted Star Fox characters to be hyperrealistic animals but they couldn't do so until the Switch 2

Man, I really like Pragmata. Really early but this game is really nice on the combat side of things. Thought it might feel gimmicky but it really finds a rhythm to its hacking /shooting / dodging and the encounters are exciting.
Maybe a little beautiful than RE9 was on S2, but it still looks great. It’s wild that Nintendo is backdooring its way to really good ports of new AAA games a launch and they’re comparable. 1 user liked this post: filler

I didn't like the Pragmata demo. Felt...bland.

I keep missing out on FF7 Integrade on the eShop sale, which makes me think I should just get the physical release.

I was never that big in to starfox, but I can see a generation of kids who weren't around or old enough for the last starfox loving the new game and movie.

Star Fox was last relevant on the GameCube with Star Fox Adventures and later Star Fox Assault.
One of those franchises that Nintendo had no clue what to do with. Star Fox Command was ok, Star Fox 64 3D obviously a good remake of a good game and Star Fox Zero / Guard a half-baked reboot attempt. Nintendo totally forgot about it but they dropped Sin & Punishment 2 on Wii and that was a fantastic on-rails shooter. Overall I like it but I can see people pass on Star Fox when there is games like Star Wars Outlaws and even Starfield that do so much more than just fly ships and shoot things. I think Nintendo sometimes forgets that Star Fox 64 was a tech demo to show off the power of the Silicon Graphics chip. An arcade style game to hold people over until the new Zelda or whatever big game was on the horizon. It takes less than 2 hours to finish. I also think they sometimes overestimate how much people actually know about the Nintendo universe and characters. 1 user liked this post: filler

Switch 2 price hike in Japan (10000jpy) is having people panic buying. 300+ people lines. Sold out in major electronics stores.

Which game has the best looking water
05-17-2026, 11:31 AM
That's pretty funny about this. Nintendo games used to look mediocre overall but had fantastic water.
Now it's the other way around. The water reflections and details get cut. The first game with pretty water that comes to mind is Donkey Kong Bananza. Metroid Prime 4 didn't have a water level. That's also something that I realized playing Metroid Prime 1 again. The environment had an effect on the gameplay and abilities. In Metroid Prime 3 and 4 it's all window dressing apart from a few sections. Like the ice canyon in Prime 4. These guys make a good point though, the 1st year of the Switch 2 has been carried by third party publishers. 2 users liked this post: filler, who is ted danson?
