Most of the bots will blow their load immediately and disappear even if I didn't ban them, I guess this one had some kind of coding to see if it's previous post went through and then just assume that was approval to flood the forum. I have no clue why it thinks going full SilentPanda was the best plan. lol

Next time we get one we like I'll have to look into throttling it so it can only post like one thread a month or something.

Quote:You weren't affected by the new PHP vulnerability
You might have seen news of a new PHP vulnerability. We tested it against our live servers and found it can’t be used to take over websites hosted with us, including WordPress sites.

Here's why your site(s) are safe:
  • Our shared hosting runs on LiteSpeed, which handles requests differently than the attack expects, so the malicious trigger never fires
  • On our newer platform, the vulnerable PHP feature is turned off
  • Each website runs under its own limited account, so even a successful attack couldn't reach the server or other customers' websites

PHP has since released a security fix. Even though our platform wasn't affected, we applied the fix across all hosting on October 21, 2026 as an extra layer of protection. The update is now complete.

You didn't need to do anything – we applied it automatically. If anything on your site(s) behaves differently now that the update is done, just let us know.

X, the everything app, has changed their sharing link. It works though if you delete everything up to the question mark

Can't seem to fix that, it's the "a=whatever" part. Leaving the "s=20" is fine, as is deleting everything including the ? and leaving just the numbers before it. Deleting the "s=20" part and leaving the "a=" part doesn't work either so it's not just sending only one of the flags.

I don't really understand how regex works but it looks "fine" as it sends everything to X, their javascript just doesn't seem to know what to do with the "a=" part. If I knew how to use regex I could probably know how to get it to slice off the ? and everything after it because that's always worked, but I don't.

I discovered that finally after four years of Elon owning it, they've actually created a platform.x.com url for the script and that it now natively accepts x.com urls rather than needing twitter.com ones. I checked to make sure that the x.com one doesn't have something updated to accept that "a=" part but it works the same as the twitter.com one so it's probably just the same script with different urls.

It's some kind of weird tracking because it generates a different a= every time you click the button:
