Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2.

Still early in the game just about to start the Heist with the Street Kid arc. But I'm playing it more as a John Wick FPS game with special abilities with a focus on sliding and parkour and less like a stealth game like I did on PC. The game is way more fun this way. Just blasting mfers with revolvers and shotguns instead of trying to stay unnoticed and taking out a handful of goons with a silencer.

It remains an incredible technical feat to see this running so well on such a small lower powered device. Gameplay wise I might even like it better in the Switch 2 form as it is less cluttered with random junk, objects and NPC's.

I’m slowly playing through Cyberpunk now.

Started on my desktop PC, where I could crank up setting to a reasonable degree (no full path tracing) and hit 80-90fps. The only time it struggled was in busy areas during a video call. The game is probably rendering that separately.

I’m continuing it on my laptop. Had to turn everything way down but it still looks fine. My laptop fan is freaking out but that’s to be expected.

Anyway, the game seems great. This is my first play though and reading how it was pre 2.0, each ripper doc has unique inventory. Clothing had stats. You couldn’t shoot while driving(???). In its current state I’m really liking it. Going stealth+magic hacking route. Still use pistols and knives but with overdrive, I can walk into an encounter and make three or four guys shut down by hacking their brains. The cyberpycho side quests are a joke. Hack their optics and then choke them out.

Making my way through Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel after finishing Borderlands 2. Up to the final boss now.

I honestly don't like either of these and Borderlands 2 was supposed to be the best one. People bitch about the writing in Borderlands 3, but the writing in Borderlands 2 was fucking awful as well.

The Pre-Sequel actually had less annoying writing since not every line has to be a joke.

Cyberpunk’s sex scenes are very awkward and I don’t know if it is a video game thing or a Polish thing.

edit: going full wanted meter cyberpsycho is pretty cool. It's a joke until the last star when MaxTac shows up. Suddenly there's a runner trying to hack you, a sniper, a heavy, and a mantis blade dickhead rushing you. It actually does feel like that original teaser with the cyberpsycho chick where the cops are wholly ineffective against chromed out people.

Still cleaning up the backlog since the game releases this year have mostly been shit. A friend picked up RE9 and we're playing that this weekend.

Finished Borderlands 3, which had the best gameplay of the ones I've played. The writing was shit, but I found it easier to tune out than the shit writing in Borderlands 2. Not as loud or as obnoxious.

After that I finally played through MGS2 since I never finished that one. Can't say I liked it much. The Big Shell is kind of a boring place. Then made my way through the original Metal Gear.

Only got Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake and Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel left to play through. I don't own Ghost Babel, but it's in the Vol 2 collection that's getting released soon.
