Kulturkampf
Whole paper sounds like the usual social pseudo-science academic crap, but I still can't wrap my head around this leap:

Quote:Similarly, these social phenomena equated physical beauty with moral superiority (see Beres et al., Citation2023; Watson et al., Citation2005). Consequently, “single women, queer people, fat people, sick people, people of color, differently abled and disabled people, and poverty-stricken people” (Jain, Citation2020, p. 104) become characterized, by implicature, as lazy and immoral.

Wut

The shifting morality sure is fascinating. Really, how can you be against the death penalty for a psycho who killed a little child but at the same time be a fan of Luigi?

The same way you can be against the death penalty but for a war against an enemy.

The real problem is these retards think they're fighting a war and that anyone with more money or success than them is the enemy worth killing.

I don't care for death penalty "opponents" like Evan who even concede the point that death is the worst thing you can do to someone. I wouldn't support it but it would pretty easy for our prisons to make this guys life hell and keep him alive to keep experiencing it. Like, isn't that the entire way punishment operates in Hell? That comes after death so death can't be worse than Hell. Eternal punishment must be worse than death then.

As a society we don't even make solitary confinement for life as harsh as it could be with just a few simple changes. There's mass murderers, terrorists and serial killers in that in supermax prisons and they still get all kinds of privileges with good behavior.

This is also kind of a reply to Matt Walsh too. It would fit the Twitter persona he does to want the guy tortured but it's like he knows that's too far.

What is with American fathers going straight to killing their entire families and then themselves whenever they experience some hardship?

"Family annihilation" to me sounds less like a horrible crime and more like a term a postgraduate in queer studies would come up with in a paper about the decolonization of human relations.

I think it's fairly common the world over, but gets much easier with a gun than with a knife or a hammer.

Familicide certainly happens at a higher rate in the United States compared to similar developed countries, I guess it just comes down to the ease-of-use for a father taking his gun out of the safe and deciding to end it all one day.

Maybe it's just increased because of the relatively higher number of professional wrestlers in the US?
