RE surprisingly showing a deeper understanding of the situation, aware of how Morocco uses its own population as blackmail. One idiot in there though thinking Ceuta is a remnant of colonialism

While romanticizing centuries of North African Muslim rule in Iberia.

Thorrgal wrote:Colonies with autonomous governments and representation in both the parliament and senate not unlike any other mainland region like Madrid or Andalucia just because they happen to be overseas, although for Ceuta "overseas" literally means "at swimmable distance from Europe". Absolutely insane definition of "colonial".

Thorrgal wrote:What's insane is comparing Ceuta and Melilla to Sicily 🤣🤣🤣

yeah, dumbass, it's kinda like sicily because it demonstrates a territory does not become a colony merely because it is separated from the rest of the country or lies on another continent. Ceuta's inhabitants are Spanish citizens with elected local govts and autonomous institutions, and have representation in Spain’s gov't.  Find a single state that contains territory that wasn't acquired through conquest.  I thought modern "decolonization" was supposed to liberate a politically subordinate people...not award territory to the nearest country based on geography. Fuck what Ceutans and Melillans freely want, give it to North Africa, famously pure anti-colonialists.

Someone should ask why the Moroccans are all so Muslim and Arab despite being in North Africa  Thinking

For the real fun, do it with Palestine.

Are you absolutely sure it wasn't "asshole"?

In a just world, after everything Europeans did all over Africa there should not be territory controlled by Europeans on Africa.

It is funny how the Spanish still claim sovereignty over Gibraltar after centuries of English dominion but when it comes to Ceuta and Melilla their instance is "please consider we have been here for a long time".

I guess it's too much to expect anything of old colonialists besides hypocrisy.
