Quote:Musk swipes at Navarro amid tariff turmoil: ‘He ain’t built shit’

“A PhD in Econ from Harvard is a bad thing, not a good thing. Results in the ego/brains>>1 problem,” Musk wrote in one post. (Navarro earned a PhD in economics from Harvard in the 1980s.)

The Department of Government Efficiency head replied to another user’s comment on the video lauding Navarro’s explanation, writing of the economist: “He ain’t built shit.”

Horseshoe theory truly is proving itself to be the one great unifying theory of retardation.

Why would the profits stay in America if they don't currently? The tariffs aren't on the profits.

Hey guys what's going on. Remember when "what are tariffs" trended on google after the election. Fun times.

Literally any noteworthy person from either party could be president right now and the market would simply be reacting to a solid jobs report, we'd be cruising into another normal week etc. Instead we've got a guy who has been obsessed with trade for 50 years because he's too stupid to understand what "trade deficit" means.

The Democrats putting up a complete buffoon (again) is a major cause of the current situation though...

Nah. I seem to recall that candidate warning people this would happen months ago. I seem to recall Trump stating on multiple occasions he would do this while certain people said he's trolling, he's joking, he's not serious, it's a 3D chess negotiating move, etc. Nah this is who he is. Trump was a Goldwater tier candidate who Americans should have dismissed based on multiple things, but perhaps mainly this issue. He promised to crash the economy and people were too stupid to even look up what tariffs mean until after the election.

I don't care if he was running against Jack Black, the only logical decision was to vote for whoever was promising not to crash the global economy because he doesn't understand what 'trade deficit" means.

I thought Kamala was chill enough. I never got why people act like she was a Hilary-tier misbegotten choice.

I think she manhandled Trump in the debate (and not in the sort of nerdy, bean-counter way of like..."she said more factually correct things than he did"  Derp ).

In retrospect I think having a 3-month campaign into an election where a non-insignificant number of people didn't even know Biden dropped out was a tough fucking hill to climb for anyone. How many people rolled up into a booth and pulled a SnoopDoggWho.gif when they saw her name as the D candidate?

That + the (now shockingly quiet Thinking ) Palestine shit doomed her IMO.

I don't understand this perspective at all, she was a completely empty suit, primed to be a partisan puppet, she never once shared a truly genuine, personally-felt belief that would've indicated the kind of person she is or impacted the way she governed, she never gave any indication of what her actual plans were, refused to say what she would've done differently from the previous administration which had plenty of easy dunks she could've made

everything about her was disingenuous and untrustworthy

none of this has anything to do with trump or preference for one or the other or which would've made a better president, it is simply an assessment of kamala on her own during the election

she was awful

I need to know if this is a stupid thought, or a completely obvious thought that everyone's already like "duh yes of course:"

is this just the grandest scale possible of the crypto pump and dump

warn your buddies, get everyone shorting all the stocks, then crash the economy, let all your buddies buy the dip, and then say nevermind and undo it so you all get richer when it recovers

like I really don't see any other reason for this, just standard insider trading

I think people mostly just believe Trump's boasts that his first term was the best economy ever, he enacted billions worth of tariffs then but nobody remembers it, they just remember it being a great economy unlike Bidenomics because people believe their immediate personal concerns are what drives the economy.

Also, most people, including most Democrats, believe tariffs are a good thing. They're going to reason that Trump simply did too many too fast, not that tariffs are bad.

Precisely.

Here's the rub:

Democrats will never take responsibility for their actions. They are incapable of self reflection or introspection which is precisely why they lost to Trump again.

Democratic Party is a party full of women and gay men. They cannot govern. They can't even beat Trump and have a 1-2 record against him. They're more interested in their elitist crap like drinking mimosas on tax payers dime and other limp wristed faggot/woman coded things.

Republican Party is a party full of people that prove the rule that power corrupts absolutely.

30 years later it still proves true.

They were stuck with her as the candidate because Biden dropped out so late the VP was the only viable option.  And she was only the VP for optics, she ran a terrible Presidential campaign in the 2016 primaries too and never demonstrated an ability to campaign or lead.  A series of mistakes led to disaster.

Further.

They were stuck with her as a candidate because the Democratic Party did not primary Biden despite his obvious decline and then when the shit hit the fan after yaers of saying Biden is 100% lucid and attentive and definitely not cognitively in decline they scrambled like bees after the nest has been knocked over and put in a hire who was put in that position not for her leadership or the color of her character but because of the color her skin and because she had the right set of genitals.

Those are the facts. Democrats cannot live with them.

Absolutely. I may be remembering incorrectly, but I recall her being a massive drag on Biden's 2020 campaign from the moment she was announced as his VP candidate. She stumbled through some public appearances and was then promptly hidden from view until after the election day.

Want to say Biden’s team committed to a woman VP and with 2020 being 2020, speculation that it’d have to be a black woman, they settled on her. Makes sense as a Biden VP pick. Good contrast. Balances out the appeal amongst voters.

Goes back to the problem with Wanz. The worst type of person to contrast Harris. A lot of speculation pinned Shapiro as the VP. That would’ve made sense. There were many theories as to why they didn’t go with him or a Newsom or a competent person with potential.
