I can't imagine continuing to do this shit until I'm 65. I've been doing this for 18 years straight, and it's really began to mentally wear on me. Only have two off days in a week is a cruel fucking joke. Usually those two days are just spent trying to rest and recharge, when you want to accomplish other things in your life outside of work. They're also usually spread several days apart to avoid further burnout from working five or more days straight for two off.

Era, we aren't made for sacrificing so much time from our lives just to afford to survive.

Next year I'm planning to work 4 days again for about 20 weeks with the vacation hours I have left over from this year.

Hopefully I can get to a point soon where I can work 4 days period without much of a sweat financially and 1 work from home day also.

Effectively creating a 3 day work week is the goal for 2026.
Should be perfectly doable.
