Yeah some people haven't come to grips with the fact that this started as a fringe alt-right conspiracy around mostly democrats and the Clintons (even though we always knew Trump was heavily involved) but has since morphed into something very, very real with far reaching implications beyond sex abuse and trafficking.

The origins of the rush to release these files shouldn't cloud judgement so much of what's actually here. Epstein had ties to Israeli, Russian intelligence and was involved with the founding of 4chan and social engineering of children (fact).

The next logical conclusion most people would then make is "wow so you're saying our president was heavily implicated with Epstein who likely could've been a foreign asset and Trump also put a Russian agent (Tulsi) in his cabinet who has a super explosive super secret whistleblower report floating around about her now citing executive privilege, maybe there's foreign involvement in our Government? The same Government that accepted a huge jet from the Saudis?"

Yeah I feel like I'm the crazy conspiracy theorist here by just saying what everyone is thinking. There's a lot of tone policing going on with little reasoning behind it, like a separate thread on the foreign intelligence connections getting locked as "conspiracy" when it was just reporting on what we all can read in the files? Not sure what's going on but I may have to refrain from posting here about this if it means avoiding a possible ban.

I know the reality that we could be living in a world largely engineered by powerful foreign actors and billionaires who happened to molest kids on the side is depressing, but the faster we can get the information out there the faster someone may finally be held accountable and our society can begin the process of moving on. Especially for the victims.

I'm still of the view that qanon/pizza gate was a modified limited hangout.

It was someone with connection to power/military intelligence, taking a mix of actual disclosures of actual crimes, a bunch of already known crimes that were a matter of public record/heavily rumoured, and a bunch of made up crazy bullshit, and presenting it all as the same: an insider trying to expose crimes.

The actual motive was to use the people who believed it all to discredit the actual real stuff contained within. "Look at the crazy person taking a gun to investigate a pizza parlour, these are unhinged conspiracy theorists. The stuff they say about Bill Gates and Bill Clinton and whoever can't possibly be true". When in fact some of these people were guilty of the kinds of things they were being accused of we now see in the Epstein files.

Which is basically you say you should scrutinise anything you read, evaluate the source, think critically and don't rush to accept something just because it aligns with you preconceptions.

I honestly don't think it's worth it going back and forth with Planet Smasher, because similar to some other US posters lately, some folks look for any reason other than the obvious one to explain what is happening, especially when it comes to Canada, a topic we are more well versed and intimately familiar with with everything going on. This pattern has occurred time and again, with some trying to do the equivalent of mansplain/deflect the conversation, every time a Canadian origin thread is created in recent history. I think Fat4All even tried to explain it to a fellow American recently, to no avail.

It's similar to how the US media is trying to act "surprised" at why tourism is so badly down(as mentioned in the article) and why their economy is hurting as a result. It's every reason given but the obvious one. Likely because it's starting to really become uncomfortable with how their worldview has been shaken and how the US in general is being treated(absolutely rightly) by everyone as an axis-type Nazi government run nation.

If someone tells you they are gonna annex your nation, it isn't for shits and giggles. Just like it wasn't a joke about threatening Greenland(which the Greenland and Danish people are still being threatened with), or hijacking Venezuela oil resources.

Has anyone seen the FBI file released with everything that identifies that someone who posted about Epstein being switched out for a body double on 4chan (before he was reported dead) was indeed a real security guard working at the facility?

Honestly I am not convinced he is even dead at this point, if we suggest he was killed rather than having committed suicide, what significant difference does it make if he was actually moved out and someone took his place?
