People are OBSESSED with watching the CCU for this and many other games. Marathon has weirdly gotten the most traction. The CCU thread always being near the top says it all from people here. It's pathetic shit. Glad the game is great, glad it started to get stronger and stronger reviews. All I can do, as a fan, is say how good it is and that more should check it out.

So I haven't been able to post here for awhile but I wanted to get advice from Era about my situation. So basically I come from an abusive household. My parents have abused me physically and mentally, although more on the mental side as I've gotten older. They refused to get my dysphasia treated arguing I was just being a "sissy" and all that junk. They forced me to eat a steak even though it was nearly impossible and I nearly choked to death. Afterward they still blamed me. They also refused to tell me about my autism diagnosis arguing "it didn't matter Einstein was successful" Anyways I had about 10,550$ worth of savings for emergencies, but my mom took it from my joint acc because "I shouldn't have all that money" but I was a legal adult and it was a crime. I should have made it my acc only but I didn't know much about banks when I first created it. By the time I changed it, it was too late. My parents also took all my documents and passports and refused to give it to me. So I had to sneakily find them and take them so I could leave the abusive household. Once I've gotten everything, I was ready to leave but my parents tried to force me at the house by taking my phone by force, (thankfully I've gotten it back) then chase me to my car. They threatened to get me arrested (for charges unknown as I did no crime) and also refuse to give me my money unless I meet them. They said a restaurant or their place, but I have to pick one by this weekend or else I will never get the money back. What should I do? I'm struggling paycheck to paycheck due to the severity of the situation but I really don't want to meet them because my dad has firearms and threatened my life since I said I would get the police involved. They gave me 500$ so I can make trip to them. I'm completely lost and devastated. I've lost friends due to their libel and felt endangered and no one seemed to care. They argue "someone took you away from us" but I'm tired of the abuse. What am I supposed to do? I've been alone for months now. In deep depression as my dreams are crushed. I think I should get police involved but idk how.

I have recordings and messages that they stole the money. And bank statements. They admitted it on camera thinking it wouldn't matter. I have plenty of proof that my mom took the money but she wants to meet me with my dad who threatened me.

Parents can't take money even from a joint acc if it's not supposed to be for them. As they "knowingly exceeded their authority" I should have not used it but I was naive. Unfortunately it would be a civil matter but that takes ages.

Thankfully I have evidence but my mom already bought a new phone in hopes of me returning. She argues it counts to deduct what she owes. My friend argues I should meet them because if they agree to only give me 6K and the phone, that's probably more than what I would win in a court and it's faster. Best case scenario, the threat of litigation spooks your parents into paying up. Don't go to a meetup at some restaurant with your friend acting as the muscle, this isn't The Sopranos.

This is an obvious small claims case but he also obviously has no interest in Era giving him proper answers versus him using the forum as a diary or whatever.

Hopefully nobody tells him that recording the conversation may be a crime in his state.

i liked the first movie. a super mario movie does not need to be a classic pixar-level achievement

I ended liking the first one, but why can’t these films improve? The Sonic films actually got better.

Why not? Nintendo/Mario are the video game equivalent in terms of imagination and quality. Pixar (and other studios) can make high quality films so why can't Nintendo and Illumination?

It really is an issue with society and how we view gender and people. The whole BS about people having to act and think in certain ways, like men having to be masculine and women having to be feminine. It's so pervasive. For example, a trans woman could feel repressed growing up and then when they transition, they want to act in a feminine way because thats how we view women.

And this isn't me saying we can't present however we want. In fact, that's what I want to see, but also understand that we all have these unconscious bias and ideas and beliefs that we hold because society puts us in these boxes and we have to act a certain way or we aren't normal.

I understand the logic of the critique, men can do poor writing, imply femininity can't be badarse and it can come across as misogynistic... But a lot of the time I see, it has a nasty implication you can fail at being a woman, that you not be feminine enough, that what you find enjoyable and empowering is bad and not good rep for others etc etc; especially towards butch and trans women (especially masculine looking trans women). I really dislike in fiction where they just random introduce as stereotypical feminine hobby to a butch or "badarse" woman under the logic that it makes them more well-rounded, especially when that hobby never gets brought up again. I dislike this because of how shallow it is, implying women who don't enjoy "feminine hobbies" or don't act "feminine" (so much of which is arbitrary or enforced by societal norms) can't be well rounded or betraying themselves.

It's frustrating because it's not always men who say this as I've seen cis and trans women say something similar to this (what set this off for me was a Jessie Gender (to be clear I'm not calling her bad or suggesting she did wrong) video where she was discussing the recent Canned Buffy Reboot where she was discussing how Buffy could kickarse and still be feminine) and when it comes from the latter, it especially feels othering and implying I'm failing to be trans, that I'm not considered feminine enough

I'm transgender. The signs as an only child growing up wasn't obvious but one thing that stood out was the fear growing up getting body hair and thought it was disgusting but lucky for me I have no back hair and very little chest hair in my mid 30s. At a very young age I remember a nightmare I had where I was an adult man and I cried. Most of my cousins around my age are females and they had game consoles and one of them has a brother but I mostly hang out with my female cousin instead. One of them had a hobby playing soccer and learn that even women can play sports and started liking soccer instead of forcing myself to like a sport because some guy told me I had to. Still I don't like sports I just like women to be inspirational



While I growing up I went from playing with toys to playing video games and Pokemon Crystal was the first game that asked me the question "Are you a Boy or a Girl?". I picked girl because I always played as a male. But after that I went back playing as a male in Gen 3 until Pokemon S/M and in Legends Z-A I went back to play as a male. I didn't care about how the windows looked because I felt happy playing and purchasing as much clothes as possible. I learned the reason why I don't like shopping is because I extremely picky in fashion.

In MMOs I only ever played Runescape and when I learned about the Makeover Mage, yeah I changed and kept my gender as female and that's when I started to question my gender. In high school I thought to myself "what if I was a girl?" years later "would I be treated differently if I was a women?" and 2 years ago I learned what estrogen is and thinking if it was possible to get them and move to a different state and start a new life but I was doubting myself and thought "Is this what I really want?"



Earlier this month I was going through a lot being depressed, disconnecting myself from the world and I would get angry having to interact with the world around me. then I was recommended a video about how cisgender don't question their gender and mentioned the gender dysphoria bible and when I read it, I felt like I got hit by a truck.I was going through anxieties, I lost my appetite and my libido decreased. But through all of that, I feel much happier and all the things that I was going through before reading the gender dysphoria bible is gone.



I've realized I'm still me from the start of March and the one thing I can't stand is looking at myself in the mirror and I have anxieties from time to time. But I have started to improve myself by focusing on loosing weight, growing out my hair and remove all my facial and body hair and damn having smooth legs feels euphoric and the rare instances where I can look at myself.



Soon I'm going to speak to a therapist and see what's the best options for me rather than taking antidepressant. If I can be prescribed with estrogen I would take small dosage and have an androgynous appearance because I live in Florida.

You may not aligned with all of it but it can help you identify in the spectrum and is also a good resource for cisgendered to learn what we go through
