Yeah those percentages speak for a huge decline of mental health for adolescents who transitioned. The study is also extra spicy because Finland apparently does a much better job at tracking those who received trans healthcare (some gender clinics famously refused to cooperate with the Cass Review, not giving access to long term patient outcome data), which would speak for this happening in other countries too and we just don't get the data.

If the study is trustworthy it completely annihilates the common argument people have used on parents. "Do you want a trans daughter or a dead son?" Now it seems like transitioning either doesn't help them at all or might make them actually more suicidal.

Something that should have been obvious from having a lifetime of mandatory medicalization that does nothing to address the issue and the fact that no studies had ever shown the opposite. It was always a claim based on a rhetorical threat and/or wishes.

And anecdotally, every famous example was someone who only got worse.

The economy has slowed, the job market has softened and a looming threat of mass unemployment hangs in the air thanks to AI. But there will always be a strong demand for workers who have the right attitude, work hard, display discipline and simply get their jobs done. People who succeed aren’t microshifting, coffee badging or working bare minimum Mondays. They’re working. Actually working.

Which is why I’m sincerely hoping that we’re done with these silly non-working trends.
