While I can understand the reactions to this biopic given Michael's grooming allegations... Elvis groomed a 14 year-old and Oppenheimer murdered hundreds of thousands, yet I don't remember many people calling for a boycott of those biopics.

Fighting games are the genre with the least ability to serve a comfortable online playing experience because of how your decision-making has to be able to pivot on a dime based on information that you only have a fraction of second to respond to. Many other genres have access to myriad solutions that sort of cheat and give you fake information about what you're playing against in order to cut down the amount of time you have to wait to see how the game responds to your actions. For fighting games, there's just about one netplay solution that really brings the play experience closest to what it would be under local play, which is rollback netcode.

Fix the infrastrutcture you run and stop using isp gateways that have their own buffering systems that get in the way of rollback at times or at the least disable them. It's bad enough people are on wifi which has bloated mac queues but the amount of ethernet players with offloads and interrupt moderation on alone is pathetic in 2026.

You're the only genre where players and devs alike refuse to fix problem outside of a few. You have solutions yall think this is the best one when it's problematic. Fighters could change tomorrow using quic protocol not udp/tcp on riot stack with rollback and games would be unbelievable to most of yall.

Never said you personally but if I wanted a better experience offline or minimize the crap that makes lockstep worse mainly high bandwidth situation doesn't happen in this genre typically but no bandwidth or variance of it jitter is a problem.

So, I don't really want to start this, but you seem to be debating a topic with some rather... questionable information.
For example, UDP/TCP are the only two ways to transmit information over the internet (kinda, you of course have things like ICMP, but that's not really relevant here). If you are going to transmit anything over IPv4/IPv6, it will always have to use UDP or TCP to ultimately do the job. It's not clear from here what alternative you are suggesting beyond these. I'm also not really sure how you get faster than UDP; It's stateless for a start.

Unless you are suggesting we all move back to modem serial connections, which,, well, sure that would be faster but uhhhh...

I think a lot of Americans will blame Harris for "forcing" them to vote for Trump because she would have been worse when she declared a trade war, attacked Iran, deported immigrants, got citizens shot on the street for protesting, and tried to annex Canada and Greenland. The assumption among conservatives seems to be she'd do all these things too, but somehow worse, so at least Trump is minimizing the damage she would have caused.
