The problem with the rocket misfiring explanation is that it doesn't fit the explosive power that makeshift Hamas or PIJ armaments have. It wouldn't virtually level a large hospital, not from a single strike. I have not seen any serious attempt to explain that key issue.

To add to my above point, whenever someone says "makeshift explosive" or whatever as if it's mystic magic, remember they're talking about a simple technology so old that people literally did once make all the ones used for large scale warfare by the "makeshift" process. It reminds me of people talking about "nuclear weapon plans" being some kind of high level top secret information that maybe even the President isn't allowed to see when you can just Google it, not to mention obvious from any college-level understanding of physics. Firing missiles isn't hard if you don't particularly care where they land.
