Something is wrong with men. I understand living is harder today but there is something else going wrong when women are still pushing through the headaches with even more issues on their backs with pay inequality, misogyny, etc.

The older black men in my life pressed me to buy a home to build generational wealth because no one sure as shit going to give it to you. (this may be anecdotal), but compared to other generations of men I've observed, Gen-Z men seem to have "given up", and have little drive/ambition.
I'm sure a lot of it is how much more difficult shit is now than 20, 30+ years ago, but seems like that whatever "drive" men had to do things is dying off.

Third‑party studios are doing everything they can to cram their games onto the Switch 2, limitations and all, and honestly, kudos to them. They're performing miracles with hardware that was already outdated at the time the Switch 2 was released. But it's hard not to feel like you're playing a stripped‑down version when you have access to any other modern platform. And in many cases, the Switch 2 versions arrive late anyway (see the new James Bond game), meaning you're paying more for a weaker release. The idea that the Switch 2 offers anything close to parity with current‑gen consoles is a fallacy.

But when it comes to visuals, let's be real: Nintendo is the one dropping the ball. Everything we've seen so far looks like high‑resolution of games that could've launched on the original Switch without anyone blinking. There's nothing here that screams "new generation".

Take the "new" Star Fox. I genuinely don't know how anyone is supposed to be blown away by those visuals. Unless you live in a bubble and only play on Nintendo hardware, there's nothing remotely impressive going on. In fact, the attempt at 'realistic' graphics actively works against the series' art style and vibe, which is how we ended up with those uncanny, borderline grotesque character models. And slapping modern visuals onto gameplay and level design that were already painfully basic in 1997? That's… a choice. A questionable one.

And apparently they're gearing up to do the same thing with Ocarina of Time. Of course they are. What a wonderful time to be a Nintendo fan... 🙄

I'm honestly shocked that we're getting PS5-level games on Switch 2. 

It's kind of a perfect storm. Expensive hardware means next-gen consoles are delayed or expensive. Third parties will stick with PS5 which means Switch 2 ports and even fewer games that take advantage of what PS6 or Project Helix can do.

So far Switch 2 games are CPU constrained so in the future, Nintendo has an option to beef up the CPU and RAM a little for a mid gen "Switch 2 Pro" refresh or tinker with firmware level boost modes and overclocks to improve load speeds like they did on Switch.

PC handhelds like the Rog Ally X haven't really caught on and Switch 2 runs a bunch of games better at lower cost. Valve can't source RAM for Steamdeck so they can't grow their handheld market share by offering discounts on a outdated piece of hardware. 

While Nintendo has struggled with hitting 90+ scores with their latest releases they have yet to release their big names.
Mario Kart World also doesn't rule out a "Mario Kart 9" classic style game in the future. 

Microsoft and Sony can keep their first party line-up exclusive again but those are far and few in between. Meanwhile Nintendo has added a slate of games like Indiana Jones, Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth and more that were previously inaccessible on a Nintendo platform.

Money still being a factor of course, let's say this was in 2016's economy. So these things were still doable just not easy.

Wondering how much time I have left in the marketing world as AI continues to develops. Hoping to make it through the end of 2027 at my current job, if I last longer, even better.

But I have to realistically plan for what's next and the two dream setups before I get realistic are owning a Food Truck. Not quite sure what I'd serve, I'm not even much of a cook, but it would definitely keep me away from the computer, outside of budgeting and paying the bills.

The second is opening my own arcade bar. Don't know much about alcohol, so I'd need help with that, but the point is just creating that ideal third space for myself and other people. My place would probably be more console focused given how tough machine maintenance is. Stream tournaments. Make an event out of new releases, hey First Light just dropped, come over and play it. Everything purchase is a tax right off. Basically make the place into what I think the arcades by me are missing. Better location and less pinball. That's probably the harder one to do.

Probably both realistic dreams at the point, just hard. And I'd feel like I'd have to have a cosigner on those loans to build which I'd hate to put someone in that position. Maybe if six figures just fell on my lap, then I'd do both.
