Shared bathrooms in schools were typically gross. But I always made an exception for single toilet bathrooms. People made special care to take care of those. So in my head I always thought fondly of my middle school setup, but it's dawning on me that that might've actually been worse.

My school setup is bit hard to describe. Per grade, we were placed into team names. Each team had a designated area for the 4 core classes (English, Math, Science, Social Studies), there was central hub area for computers and we had 3 bathrooms in the center hub area (boys, girls, unisex). The problem is, the boys ONLY had a urinal so if you had to take a crap, you had to use unisex. And the thing is, each classroom had it's windows wide open so you can see clear as day into the central hub area. It was cool sometimes because if one class got to use the computers, you knew what you were doing in that class later and got to anticipate it. Plus, it's where we all hung out between class. But the downside is, if you had to take a shit, that's your entire team looking at you except maybe the science class which didn't have a window view of the central area. And god forbid your class needed to use the computers in the hub for a lesson, you're going in front of everyone pratically.

Our elective classes (gym, band, etc.) were in other parts of the school so what I would do is just go back to my team area and use the bathroom then. Our elective time was our teachers free period typically, at least for one of our electives I think. So that's when I typically went in middle school.

And I'm realizing Middle school is why I'm like this.
Why I didn't go deuces in high school at all (it was public or bust).
Or why in college I'd leave my work study job to go back and do it in my dorm (it was literally next door).
Or why I'd leave work to go home and deuce.

My current job, has two unisex bathrooms and while I'm self conscious about time in and not enough noise buffering, I'm now going at work.

I was hoping this was going to be a lot more about specifically Graham Platner's place within the online left and not the fucking drama FD's been in with BE for a few months now, which coincidentally started with lil bill who essentially subtweeted BE in a video mindlessly and erroneously talking about how Jewish supremacy doesn't exist and is really just white supremacy, a thing which FD in this very video comes back around to finally admitting is legitimately a thing within the context of Zionism and the Palestinian liberation movement. In that vain, I'm happy I watched this video to see that he has grown on that front. lil bill has not so what the fuck ever with him.

So ironically, FD and BE actually agree with each other on the main material facts at hand here. Where they now really differ is optics in terms of attacking Zionism as a political force, and if you know me, you know I really don't give as much of a fuck about optics as other people when discussing political issues because it trends so easily into liberalism that I just reflexively avoid it. For example, I have my differences with FD on whether or not the term "slave" or "[x]-slave" in any context is fundamentally racist when used to include Black people. I personally don't think it always is and inherently depends upon the context of the political relationships of the people involved in the discussion. Like, I find it accurate to refer to myself as a "wage slave" because that's what I and most people are underneath the context of capitalism, and I would frankly tell anyone- regardless of their race- that referring to me as a "wage slave" because I'm Black is fundamentally racist to just shut the fuck up and stop being such a fucking liberal.

It has always been the case that the capitalists in America provide just enough material comfort and hollow appeals to the idea that we are somehow on the same team as the politicians in order to stymie direct rebellion, despite the contradictions inherent in very simple observations like the fact that these motherfuckers have healthcare and good wages and we don't.

That's why despite this country having more guns that actual citizens, they are not afraid of us in the least and are not rushing to implement any sort of gun control. We always use the guns on ourselves, confused and riddled with a sense that something is deeply wrong but lacking the analytical and educational tools to specifically deduce what is wrong. Most Americans are unable to name the material problems staring us down and are unable to understand that we are all workers on the same team, eager to play into manufactured and political divides that prevent meaningful organization. We have no class consciousness. But Republicans and Democrats have class consciousness. These people are friends with each other and know how to play the performance to keep the charade up. They understand the assignment.

I guarantee you, Democrats are going to get in power in the midterms and probably take the Presidency. Hell, I'll be optimistic and say that Fight Agency might get a few more Zohrans elected in other places. And yet, nothing concrete is going to materially change for the masses. And that will be the point; the dissatisfaction with the continuance of neoliberal nothingness and imperial destruction abroad is going to continue to stoke sheer resentment and anger, and folks, namely whites and imperial-brained minorities, will go running back into the Republicans' arms the following cycle. We've objectified ourselves into a veritable tennis ball lol.
