Give me Street Fighter characters in the Street Fighter game, not guestslop for aging millennials to relive their PS1 childhood. I’m glad we’re finally getting some new characters, we haven’t had one since AKI and she’s still FANG’s disciple so it’s a “new” character in the loosest sense

The Street Fighter LARPers are exposing themselves over the year 4 characters. I just know these mfers are going to log in when Tifa drops, not even finish her combo trials and put down the game without even going online.

Yasmine looks like Makoto with a tan and a punk rock makeoever. Arjun looks like Ryu from the middle east, and ends up looking like a younger Gouken (His art makes him look like a giant meatball, but the trailer makes him look more like a taller Ryu). Bosch is barely acceptable, because we got to know him a bit, but who really cares about Bosch.

Tifa is literally the only reason anyone would give a fuck, being the giant center of attention. Everyone loves Tifa. The newbies might turn out better than expected, but what a fucking terrible decision to dump all of them in at once.

And it wouldn't even be a problem if the character count wasn't stupidly low. If they included two more veterans, people would be fine with it.

You can't just say any martial arts girl with toned muscles is Makoto and any martial arts guy with a beard is Ryu/Gouken. For godsake, Yasmin uses a karambit! Give these new guys a chance or else we would be stuck with variations of SFII's cast for every new game until the heat death of the universe. Had it not been Tifa, it probably would've been another SF regular like Sakura   
  
If you were around for SFV you would know that Capcom likes having a season that's mostly dedicated to newcomers to the SF series, this is just season 2 of SFV all over again. Ed was pretty awesome and he got to stick around going forward, he was also a character in the story mode just like Bosch. I suspect one of these Year 4 newbies will be a big winner. 
 


Tifa is just a commercial for the new FF7 game and Capcom will probably make her super easy to play because the people picking her up probably don't give a shit about SF in the first place. It's about making that money!!

Two main reasons:

1) While I don’t think GenAi is plagiarism, not everyone agree with me. But most importantly, even people that don’t like the Copyright system most often than not will ask that at least source their work when using it. While AI training use so much data that would be impossible to source everyone… the best next thing is claiming is GenAI, so it was trained from somewhere.

I showed her the trailer and she had the same reaction I did. I just... I don't get it. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

I know I said it in a previous post, but obviously the devs have talent, and can build really strong foundational systems, like the combat, or graphics design...

But the art design and character design at the studio just don't look at women as people. It's the only way that would explain the studio's strong, focused premise of sexualization of female characters in ways that are not even just exaggerated, but like, dehumanizing. And male characters are just "There".
