It's what's great about sharing it as a "primer" it rather specifically (I can't tell if intentionally or not) rejects the actual complaints and status of the Palestinians to frame the issue in a way that's acceptable to upper class Western leftists while ensuring that they won't potentially take the wrong lesson away. Israel being a country is the complaint, that's why it took so long for Muslim nations to even recognize its existence and why the Soviet Union officially recognized it first to one-up all the ones who had only informally recognized it.

I love that even the privileged members, when they finally get a mere slap on the wrist after getting away with all sorts of BS for years, immediately proclaim how actually ERA is a terrible, oppressive place. Which is true to a large extent, but that's criticism they would've dismissed as right-wing chud talk until very recently. Easily dismissed and ignored. Also, for such a terrible place, it's strange how people like Hachikoma spend such large amounts of time and effort to constantly police and control the discourse there.
