I'm hoping that its a modern day version of Florida with a corrupt DeSantis like figure running it with military police and everything, all female characters in the story having ManyFans accounts, Chinese gangs selling Dragtanyl drugs to everyone, Electric cars going rogue and spontaneously combusting, a mission where a bat soup gone bad causes a diarrhea pandemic. Climate terrorists attacking at random, trans gangs, Marvel-like super heroes who aren't actually heroes but think they are jumping from buildings to their deaths, way too many podcasts on the radio and subscriptions for literally everything.

I want missions from a Jordan Peterson-like figure to stick it to the globalists, a former President that wants you to do Nixon-like Watergate shit to his opponents and a current President that wants you to steal elections for him. And of course a tech bro that is trying to replace the dollar with crypto.

I still have hope GTA6 won't be 'modernized'.

It's not even like a call out at this point, but it feels like just about every other series, Nintendo's included, has done this to varying degrees of quality, I just don't get how Zelda of all things hasn't done it when it's probably one of the most requested (depending upon the online circle I suppose). Like you were able to play as a woman in GTA (online) before Zelda in a main series games, like, what are we doing here? Is it that hard to justify?

Thinking like Nintendo does… is all about branding. Deep down, Nintendo probably regrets the name “Legend of Zelda”. Zelda as playable doesn’t work for Nintendo, because the Zelda (heh) brand revolves around Link as a mute character that people, supposedly, can role play as. 

Both recent games has emphasized player self discovery and emergent gameplay, and the emphasis in storytelling is still secondary (even if has become way more focused than other entries). The same reason why Nintendo doesn’t actually gives a shit about the Zelda’s timeline is why there is no playable Zelda: in their eyes is a limitation.

Honestly, posting pics with appropriate tags from a game that people on here have actually have played is fine. (As long as it isn't a banned game or so bad that it would be banned from discussion.)

As a thread/community we need to do better than, "Hey, check out this disgusting/questionable/offensive design I found from a game I will never play." This shouldn't be a NSFW Show and No Tell thread. Otherwise we get what we got last page, eldritch abomination that that ten billion people quoted in order to react to.

But yeah, the forum as a whole is super inconsistent with NSFW stuff. Personally, I'm fine with NSFW (within reason) shit in this thread if it is for the purposes of generating a discussion. There needs to be merit. Beyond shock and awe points of course. This thread is inherently NSFW and it always will be and I can live with that, but that doesn't mean it needs to be Super NSFW or look like a sketchy image board.

Also the rule isn't don't ever quote a post with an image, just if there's any doubt then just remove it. If people want context, they have a link to the post in question. Though honestly the problem would be mitigated if everyone was better about NSFW tags in the first place but I digress.
