Crazy times when Jews are far more worried about hate from the Left than the Right

https://jewishinsider.com/2023/12/survey-of-jewish-students-shows-antisemitism-varies-greatly-campus-to-campus/

I mean... when you have university provosts smirking at a congressional hearing that genocidal rhetoric 'might' constitute harassment (depending on context) when a dude with an iron cross tattoo would get bounced without a second thought, its not that surprising is it?

Difference between the right and left is that they don't target groups but specific inviduals.

The right hates George Soros for reasons, and because he's jewish that might be labeled as anti-semitism. However, they don't hate Soros because he's jewish. In fact the right is very pro-Israel. The left came up with the dog whistle, the right would say 'globalists' but that would be a 'dog whistle' for Jews. However, it's more and more apparent that the 'globalists' are just that, individuals who profit the most from the current neo-liberal global economy no matter their background, not the jews.

Meanwhile the left hates entire groups, black conservatives, jews, Trump voters, whites, you name it. If you are part of any group that doesn't meet their moving goalposts you are guilty of whatever that group did or will do in the future.

you don't think the right broadly dislike muslims, lazy mexicans, thuggish black people etc etc

or are you saying the difference is that the right doesn't say it out loud as often, will deny all this even though they clearly think it

because the right is rooted in christianity which has a long relationship with shame and self-restraint that the left lacks, due to identifying with "coming out," "fully express yourself, you are loved as you are," and always seeking righteous targets to indulge their nastiest darkest fantasies against

so when you've been going full tilt rage mode for 20 years at acceptable targets, and jews become an acceptable target, you don't know how to practice restraint anymore and end up driving right off a cliff, instead of having the presence of mind of right-leaning people to say "those of particular socioeconomic status wink wink"

excuse me a minute while I rage at dumb shit

Rage

I was listening to an older podcast, and a reference was made to kevin smith's he-man reboot, which was in the middle of combusting as everyone hated it, since he lied that the show was "all about he-man" and then proceeded to kill him in the first episode, and then again at the end of part 1, instead making teela the main character

kevin was doing a live show at the time and blocked all viewer comments and chat, ranting at his own audience for not liking the bait-and-switch he made

so I look up this dumb fucking show that everyone in the world has forgotten about

wikipedia makes no mention of its negative reception Confused

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masters_of_the_Universe:_Revelation

on the talk page they go around and around for years, smugly blocking all attempts to mention that the show was poorly received, even though many other articles talk about poor audience reception without issue

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Masters_of_the_Universe:_Revelation

Quote:Audience reception is notable when WP:RELIABLESOURCES agree they are, for example in the case of review-bombs, of which we have several cases across Wikipedia describing them. See for example Star Wars: The Last Jedi#Audience_reception, Watchmen (TV_series)#Reception and The Last of Us Part II#Audience_response. Loganmac (talk) 09:05, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

I don't

literally the only lasting impact this show has left on the world is the various news stories, videos and documentation about how it was poorly received, and you're not allowed to document that on wikipedia

there are tons of short-sighted morons who consider wikipedia to basically be the arbiter of truth, and that carries over into how it is treated on the broader internet, with information showing up in sidebars and snippets all over, burying whatever context they don't want you to see

the he-man show is shit and insignificant, but this situation is emblematic of all sorts of similar scenarios that have taken place for decades now

Just one of your headmates? Well, I had to excommunicate all seven of my headmates (just like my family) because they were alt-right chuds who voted for Trump (Bart was fronting that day, don't ask) and didn't want to watch The Marvels (you're wrong, it's factually a great film).

I'd really like to see what the image would look if it tries to sum up black or latino culture. I get the feeling it would sound racist as fuck

You don't even need to think about it for more than a couple of seconds to realise that cultural dishes that drown out the flavour of the ingredients used in them with spice are because they come from environments where the food went bad faster and they needed to drown out the taste of food going bad.

Being unable to appreciate the taste of fresh high quality food with minimal seasoning isn't a slam dunk on 'bland culture'. It's having a fucked palate.

The whole Harvard president plagiarism allegation thing is pretty entertaining

Quote:"The obvious point is to make it look as if there is this 'woke' double standard at elite institutions."
"If it came from some other quarter, I might be granting it some credence," he said of the accusations. "But not from these people."

You literally just described a double standard.

I think they're right in that there's an agenda there, she's a target mostly because of her pitiful response regarding anti-semitism, but an agenda should never mean that you then just deny reality.

If some maga cunt claims that the sky is blue I'm not going to go around pretending that it actually might be green because I don't like the source.

I mean, this happens constantly on the internet

  1. someone does something someone else doesn't like
  2. that person scours their discords and social media for anything bad they've ever said or done
  3. posts that one time that they said "the age of consent should be lowered to negative 3" 10 years ago, everyone is shocked

yes they were targeted, maybe by an angry weirdo unfairly

but also yes they should be judged for the bad thing they did

I find accusations that are 13 years old to be a little suspect in motivation.
