It's bizzare that both of his [BradyTheGOAT] month long bans have been based one extremely harsh reading of posts talking about the fucked up treatment and sexual crimes against captives of the Houthis and Hamas.

FACT CHECK: No one has been charged with or convicted of sexual crimes. This is at best some random sexual chaos.

Not sure I feel confident with that. I've reported people posting that Israel should not exist and needs to go away. Absolute silence and no real action from mods. Silence in the community thread too - completely ignored. A temp threadban in an already locked thread that was never reopened anyway.

And when you contrast that with people catching significant bans for simply posting actual factual information, it becomes clear that the admin/mods must be good with the sentiments of wanting Israel to cease to exist while not wanting any comments or nuance on anything else to the contrary. How could any reasonable person conclude differently?

Bingo. I HATE how Era has created this culture of punitive revenge. It's full of people trying to bait other into a comment that can be reported and then get them banned. It's toxic.

I'd FAR rather see warnings, thread bans, etc. to promote discourse of disagreement that is respectful. Instead it's just attempts to silence people who disagree with you or paint them with the worst possible brush.

If it only happened sometimes I'd say it's the posters. If it happens all the time (and it does) I'd say it's the culture that is supported and created.

This is the crux of the matter. B-Dumbs and his mods created and nurtured an extremely toxic culture there that replaced fun, rational discussion with...

...regular ban baiting, especially by protected users (Crossing Eden, Red Mercury, etc...)
...reading the worst intentions in every post (virtually every TransERA member)
...playing favorites with certain posters (Kyuuji, Chief Malik, ClickyCal', etc...)
...protecting and nurturing cliques that's free to shit up the rest of the place (looking at you, TransERA)
...a haven for the mentally unwell to fully live out their self-destructive tendencies (Is it any wonder that place also have regular suicide threads? Twohearts should be perma banned, you morons.)
...constantly shutting down attempts to make fun threads for whatever the sanitized, non-offensive shit they allow (Let's count until the mods tell us to stop! So damn "fun" that thread is.)

B-Dumbs is entirely to blame because he know what needs to be done, but is either too cowardly to do it, or he agrees with what the mods and protected users are doing. So B-Dumbs is either a cowardly incompetent or fully drinks the Kool-Aid. Pick your poison. In either case, he is the root of ERA's issues.
