I legitimately don't know what B-Dubs, whose forum is constantly exploding due to its uncontrollable community being driven off in droves because they feel unsafe, is trying to get the discord to commit to at this point:

Dubs, I'm sure you are a member of numerous discords. People say things all the time that don't really reflect any real intention. It is one of the reasons why I think most people prefer forums like Era over discord. Immediate responses, immediate reaction, and no filter vs. the exact opposite...least that is the general understanding. Correct?

I know it is anecdotal, but I know I recall the difference between IRC with officers vs what was officially posted on forums (MMO days, not the same I know). Cooler heads prevail. I would encourage an open dialogue.

All that's been asked is that they clean house and make it so a member of staff never gets harassed as a result of that discord going forward.

There's plenty of discords that manage that low bar every single day. I'm in a bunch of them. This idea that it can't be done is nonsense. It can and it is being done in a few different places as we speak.
