Like cisgender politicians shouldn't be deciding the fates of trans people, white people shouldn't be deciding the fates of black people, able bodied and able minded people shouldn't be creating policies for disabled people etc.

I just don't think I'll be welcome and I don't think this harmful legislation will get revised until I'm in a nursing home, DIY medicating, and by then generations of kids suiciding and my entire adult life would have been wasted in depression.

These protests are definitely what's going to push me into accepting that I'm an old person now. Actually going to jail made me think noodlesoup was taking all of this seriously, but his ongoing shock at the actual consequences and pushback really makes me think a lot of these kids don't fully understand that protesting isn't just saying you're upset and then ultimately getting what you want.

Like, yes, if you leave your encampment unattended to go about the rest of your life, it's going to get taken down. Being at the protest is a key part of protesting.
