I loved Gears 5. I'm interested in what they make for E-Day. But I am also very concerned by what I'm reading from that interview and stuff, about the idea that Kait's story might be dropped entirely and will never reach its conclusion. I wanted to see the story to the end. It feels very much like 343 abandoning multiple plotlines in Halo.

As well: I know that this game has been in the works for longer than what's been happening right now with the GamerGate 2.0 bullshit. But Kait's story being dropped in favor of Marcus & Dom once again, and then it coming out in interviews that she may never have her story conclude? It doesn't feel good seeing a leading female character being dropped in favor of going back to the classic duo at this current point in time, and knowing that chuds are celebrating even though they don't understand what Gears actually is and has been with its emotional stories from the start.

I've played Gears 1-5 quite a few times. I know that the story has more emotion and thought put into it than its public perception as a dudebro shooter. But the optics of potentially tossing Kait by the wayside to go back to Marcus & Dom looks really bad in multiple ways. I hope we get Gears 6 with Kait as the protag again one day to close out her story. The fact that we'll probably have been waiting over a decade until then, feels very shitty.

One of the coolest things in multiplayer for Gears 5 was how awesome The Coalition was with letting people fly Pride Flags in the multiplayer. Are they gonna let us do the same thing in the multiplayer for E-Day, or are they gonna be chickenshit and not let any color or brightness touch the game for the sake of nostalgia-bait and keeping the game grim n gritty just like the "fans" want?

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier came out on June 9, 1989.

Even though it is not one of the best films, it is very underrated, because although this is a very divisive film it has several great scenes and is the absolute closest film to an episode of the TOS and also has some of the best scenes and description of Kirk, Spock and Bones relationship in the films.

I'm not opposed to diversity, I really don't care and can barely get worked up at all about race swapping characters even other to mock it when it's bad, but I am opposed to the insinuation that throwing DEI garbage in the audience's face over and over will somehow influence us and save our souls.

Summer games fest last year was a joke for girls(especially the roundtable after)
Wholesome direct is very good and I try to watch it every year.
Seemed longer and had more varied games.

Was nice to see so many PoC and animal characters.

The only other failure on par was Fable with a good looking game with gameplay I’d love to try, chained to a protagonist who looks like utter dammit. I mean, MS I don’t need a ‘beautiful’ female protagonist at all, but can I get one that doesn’t look like a mutant?

The entire design principle of (the original series) Fable was that the world would change around you to reflect your actions.

Legitimately funny to see people say absolutely nothing about people being weird as hell about all that shit for a good 22 pages, but the second people who actually partake/have partaken in the community/fandom/whatever you may call it mention what the people who frankly have kept the franchise alive through their at times insane dedication over the years are talking about & feeling about the reveal, it's not good. With all due respect to the people not being absolute weirdos, (mostly white let's be honest) cishet men need to realize at some point that things change & they very much are not the (sole) target audience when it comes to a franchise so beloved by women & queer folks. So seeing them yell about how BioWare is abandoning their "true fans" & whatever is just a bit hysterical when at the other end of the table people are already talking about their builds, who they wanna date, what fan favorites might be making a comeback, etc.

Not a trailer that's a bit lighthearted due to Varric & the art style being a bit more stylized.. which is hard to judge anyway when it's not in-game. Not much really. We had a Liberal Party government, but in September the party switched from a very conservative PM to Malcolm Turnbull, who was quite centrist and almost progressive, and things were ticking along nicely.

The previous PM Tony Abbott really got all the lefties' titties in a twist though.
