Man, the horror stories we were told as teenagers about sperm under finger nails possibly causing pregnancy...
All bullshit of course, but when you're 16 and horny, that shit scares you. 2 users liked this post: DavidCroquet, D3RANG3D

Sex ed was interesting because everybody seemed cool with condoms. But then they tried pushing dental dams and lost the plot. Using Michael Douglas as a scare tactic. Get real.

Not that I care too much about religion but I find it interesting how the modern progressive movement seems to jump back and forth between the belief that religion needs to be respected and that it should be mocked. The former usually applying to Islam and the latter to Christianity 4 users liked this post: Chudder Barbarity, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, Polident, killamajig

I'm a peak atheist and despise all religions but that seemed out of place in the Olympics. Even a respectful depiction of the Last Supper in the opening ceremony would be controversial.
I look forward to the closing ceremony where they have a trans Prophet Muhammad dance to Katy Perry's-Woman's World. 5 users liked this post: Chumbawumbafan69, DJ Bedroom, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, Polident, D3RANG3D

Kit Harington says criticism of black-only play nights are 'vaguely ridiculous'
https://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/celebrity-news/kit-harington-noel-coward-theatre-rishi-sunak-stephen-fry-denzel-washington-b1173297.html Quote:The 37-year-old Game Of Thrones actor is in the cast of Slave Play at the Noel Coward Theatre, which has set aside two performances aimed at an “all-black-identifying audience” which is “free from the white gaze”. Quote:He said: “Number one – if you are white, no-one’s stopping you buying a ticket, it’s not illegal to buy a ticket for that show, if you want to come. It’s saying ‘We would prefer the audience to be this’. What a mealy-mouthed response. "You can come but you won't be welcomed." Quote:Previously staged on Broadway, the play was nominated for 12 Tony Awards and tells a story of “race, identity and sexuality” at the MacGregor Plantation in the southern US during the early 21st century. The wiki says.... Slave Play is a three-act play by Jeremy O. Harris about race, sex, power relations, trauma, and interracial relationships. It follows three interracial couples undergoing "Antebellum Sexual Performance Therapy" because the black partners no longer feel sexual attraction to their white partners. That'll bring them closer together. They both seemingly like raping kids. That's something. 4 users liked this post: HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, Potato, Nintex, killamajig

Overall this kind of stuff keeps happening again and again and I think at some point it's mostly performative to just get some extra headlines 2 users liked this post: benji, killamajig

The olympics opening and art of its type is confusing. I get trying to be provocative, but that's usually playing against the status quo. In 2024 you see more obese mystery genders with scribble tattoos in garish settings than earnest displays of Christianity and cultural appreciation.
Once you take away that "this will make my parents upset!" feedback, are there actually people who enjoy this stuff? 5 users liked this post: Chudder Barbarity, benji, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, killamajig, HaughtyFrank

I honestly don't understand the hoopla, what else do we expect from France?
It's always this artsy fartsy drag shit with some depravity thrown into the mix. I was more surprised they had Celine Dion. I thought the Gojira section with Marie Antoinette was pretty cool. Why aren't the progressive complaining about promoting violence against women?
