I've been a Democrat since I was literally in second grade (we were doing a civics project and I asked "which party is the one that likes war less?" and when the teacher said the Democrats I was like "Ok I'm one of those") and I've never even for a second considered changing parties. I even went to school fully intending to run for Congress when I was out of college before one of my professors talked me out of it due to my extremely loud atheism. My dad worked for Bernie on two separate campaigns. This shit has been in my blood for my whole life.

I think there are ways we can do better, but I'm always going to hope we can keep pushing and keep getting better. I really hope the messaging Kamala and Walz have resonates with people. Tonight seemed like one of those moments that could tectonically shake the landscape, but we gotta keep it up.
