Damn, I think I'm in love, it looks so darned good. Having that giant 8" screen along with the DualSense features/form factor makes it damn near perfect. Just waiting to find out about:

1. Price
2. Can I use it as a normal extra-wide controller with the display off?
3. Will they announce more features like cloud streaming?


The fact that it's advertised for PS5 remote play, and that they're putting PS5 hardware into the cloud makes me think there's some room for interpretation to lump PS5 remote play into cloud streaming since it's effectively the same thing, only you're remote playing into a PS5 in a datacenter instead of your home.

Eh, whether someone is media literate and whether the trailer did something for them are two completely separate things.

This trailer actually "did nothing" for me. I mean, I'm already buying. But the Announcement Trailer was better. This trailer (possibly opening intro) is just not that great. I understand exactly what is happening, but it's still pretty stale outside the visuals. It's one side I know nothing about attacking another side I know nothing about while a poor audio quality voice over speaks about our status. And then everyone dies and we are prepared to take their place.

Your response absolutely rings as media illiterate, and missing the massive amounts of nuance present in the trailer that conveys incredible tone and mood. Basically what you are saying is that unless the story and world are spoon-fed to you, you can't get anything out of it. You are either actively refusing to engage with the media, or just really have no feeling nor inclination for it at all.

It's the difference between people who thin "FROM games have no story" and those who realize that FROM's universes tell some of the best stories in any media, full stop.
