I'm singling you out not personally but because I did want to say something regarding this idea in general in my capacity as admin careposter-in-chief. 

Slurs are intellectual weakness. They're a crutch for people who cannot articulate their thoughts in a truly understandable way. Before I expand on this thought, just look at how ResetERA.com talks about whites or men or chuds or fascists. But also think about how Nepenthe would respond to you calling her the gamer word, she'd love that, that's what she wants you to do. But going at her delusional persona, either with a scalpel or a hatchet, without any bigotry is not just what she fears, it's pretty much her central paranoia about life itself. People wanting to make art easier aren't just doing that, no, they're declaring war on her personally. Sure she doesn't produce any commercial art in the first place but that's just proof of how successful their war on her is. Same with "whites" and "capitalists" it all comes back to Nepenthe's central place in the universe and everyone else's jealousy and anger at her for her divine importance. Slurs, and bigotry in general, play into that story she tells herself. Holding her accountable for her actions with a mirror or reality or whatever while not drifting into signs of hatred is the real dagger in the ribs. Repeat across that entire forum. It's why this place is comparatively verboten while Kiwi Farms is a useful boogie-man and constant enemy on the horizon. 

So while I may not ban or filter (more) slurs, nor the people who get around the existing filters or use terms that maybe could be filtered, I do look down at it. And tut-tut at how uncouth you garbage deplorables are. Be better, savage their delusional personalities not their meaningless demographic characteristics. Oh, and end genocide (of progressive gaming studios).

I literally went through this in my actual life. Minus the backpats and cheerleading. Also I didn't say it out loud, nor do I exist in a videogame RPG setting.

Double hilarious because he was on twitter trying to call out Dual Shockers for some line about the game having "Sweet Baby" vibes.

Sadly, I can only conclude Schreier knows it is anathema to use a named entity as shorthand way of highlighting a certain set of characteristics, and thus made this violation of dogma consciously. Brand the man an infidel and cast him into the fire!

Classic Mortal Kombat was inspired by 1970s Martial Arts movies and its lore was inspired by Asian mythology and I can't help but feel that's gone now. Now granted, there was some sci-fi stuff. (Which was probably Ed Boon's doing) but it still felt like a Bruce Lee movie at first before it became about the realms.

But the latest game feels like NRS just copied and pasted everything from the MCU.

The Umigadi (spelling) are basically the Elite Guard (or whatever they're called) from Black Panther and it's obvious very little was changed. But it just makes Tanya not feel like Tanya anymore.
Cyrax and Sector are basically Iron Man now. (Even got the helmet look which is lifted wholesale from Tony Stark)
The Kamidogu are now the Infinity Stones. (They held the One Being's consciousness inside and it could be revived from those, but here in Khaos Reigns, they don't do that for some reason)
The multiverse angle. MK didn't really have any multiverse to speak of, but the end goes off the wall crazy as I'm pretty sure Ed Boon just wanted to do an Endgame type finale because he saw Endgame and wanted to copy it.

I just don't think it feels like MK anymore and someone needs to keep Ed Boon in check. Getting inspired by other creative works is fine, but this is blatantly copying at this point.

I guess it just doesn't feel like MK anymore.

Yeah I'm mixed here of the character creator, there are many great options like the voices, pro-trans and NB options, but their others ones that feel aren't done well.

I call people dude and man in a non gendered way all the time. If people say they don't want to be called that I don't say it. To me it's gender neutral, like saying "hey guys", "hey dude", "hey man", etc.

You can tell someone politely if you don't care for the term and not use it. Or be like the other forum and freak out and make it seem like it was the most serious thing ever said.

I've looked at like an hour of Veilguard gameplay. It basically just looks like worse Dragon Age: Inquisition. If you liked that game, you'll probably be fine with this.
