Sort of a care post. Earlier I saw an exhibition for an old manga/anime I was into about 20 years ago. Read and watched it with a buddy. Back then, he took a trip to Japan and bought back a couple CDs of music from the show. Still have them somewhere. Anyway, I’m at this thing and it’s genuinely nostalgic in an uncomfortable way. Like I’m looking at the original manuscript of a page I remember reading as a kid, with a friend who isn’t around anymore, and the author’s note is “after all this time I didn’t think anybody would care about this comic to make an exhibit”. Felt confused and a little sad. So I went and ate a cream puff donut churro at beard papas to cheer up and ended up feeling guilty so I walked around for an hour.
