DOGE is a fantasy. 

Not touching popular entitlements, cutting taxes, and "rebuilding" the military is squaring a circle.

Most government work is just forms, spreadsheets and databases. That's really it. A whole bunch of data that needs to be processed and stored.
All that can be automated with AI. We created all these new service level positions over the years but we simply have no need for glorified typists anymore.
If we don't need the typists, we don't need the interfaces they use either.

A few years from now most administrative systems will look like command lines again and just 1 guy will oversee a 1000 AI agents or whatever and those AI agents will do the work of 100000 people 24/7 without sick leave or vacation days and with fewer errors and no personal bias.

Just imagine renewing your drivers license.
Your personal AI requests a new drivers license from the government AI because it knows your drivers license is about to expire.
The government AI processes the request and issues a new drivers license to your personal AI.
You get a notification that your drivers license is renewed.

There is no building, no parking lot, no one filling out a form and handing you a physical drivers license. It's all digital and managed by AI.
The actual cost of a drivers license will drop from say $50 to $0.1 .

A brain surgeon told me, the result of my prompt is better than his own summary of a transcription. You transform those office buildings into housing units and you solve the housing crisis too. And sure people will say there will be court cases and whatnot but like with X, it's going to be at a such a scale that the courts will simply be overwhelmed by it all.
