ERA spent the past ~5 years building a narrative that Vavra is a Nazi chud. They are not just going to abandon that.

Something like that is too complex for ERA that sees everything as black and white, ironically not unlike the right-wing they hate so much. It's just easier to perpetual a lie than to admit they were at least partly wrong. So they have to come up with absurd assertions like how racists and fascists accuse each other of being Nazis "all the time." Any new piece of evidence that points to Vavra at least not being a Nazi must be twisted to imply it in fact is further evidence of his Nazism or that the evidence doesn't matter for "reasons."
