I'm sort of vibing with that Wicked review. "The social and sexual grooming that Disneyfied culture has indulged" is a bar, as the kids say.
There's a very real neverland effect going on with the increased catering to adults via childish things, and a reactive (maybe incidental?) adultification of those same childish things. It's certainly not limited to Disney, and it isn't (always) intentionally sexual, but like...you got armies of childless adults commentating Bluey, or complaining about balance adjustments in the latest Pokemon game, etc. etc. etc.
They're quick to quote that CS Lewis thing, but to that I say:
