There’s grounds to rope in various Greek mythology. Given God of War moved away from it, it’d be a novel to mess with. Fucking up minotaurs and such. It’s not that complicated conceptually. Think it’s what people assumed when it went to that team. So I don’t get how it became complicated.
Licensed properties are weird. License holders are weird. They're frequently weird political playgrounds where no-one is playing nicely with anyone else. Heard from a friend making a licensed game based on an animated series: The contract requires that licenseholder approved actors are used. The scripts also need approval, which is its own special hell. Then the studio is booked, the actor arrives, looks at the approved script which has been reviewed repeatedly prior to approval, and says, "my character would not say that."
Just, seriously, go fuck yourself. You're not doing Hamlet or King Lear, this is a kids' cartoon character. Can you get over yourself for a second and assume EVERYFUCKINGONE here has done their job prior to showing up? Sit the fuck down and do yours.
