Its weird because I thought adjectiveless suicide squad was a big flop, and clearly a shit ton of executive meddling to make it more like big hit GOTG, when the mcu already has GOTG.

Beef was really good (you should watch it) but that doesn't mean anything - Sam Raimi made Doctor Strange 2, which was a huge fucking mess.

Thunderbolts would have been way better if they'd split the difference between the trick the OG Thunderbolts pulled (which you can't really do in Film because when youre casting all your all new never seen before heroes the fact that they're all actors who've played villains in the MCU is a huge fucking giveaway) and the Dark Avengers (which is almost the same trick, but the audience is in on it, and its the general in universe public who are unaware) and just said New Hulk played by Tim Roth, New Iron Man played by Sam Rockwell, New Falcon played by Michael Keaton, New Doctor Strange played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, new Thor played by Karl Urban, and featuring the voice of James Spader as New Jarvis or whatever.

Then you set the scene for the actual new avengers to play pick up the pieces of the huge fucking mess those guys make and get to introduce themselves as characters you might give enough of a shit about to go watch a movie about them in the meantime, because sorry RiRi "Ironheart" Williams, you're not carrying a summer blockbuster.
