Microsoft seems confident enough as of late but they were also confident about Redfall and HALO Infinite.

You're taking about a console generation which the USP is that it might play your existing games at a higher frame rate. What groundbreaking system showcase were you expecting?
Well, some of the older HALO games weren't the best looking games of their generation but they did introduce a lot of new mechanics and awesome set pieces that people still talk about today.
HALO Infinite doesn't even have a Scarab fight. It only has 'bandit camp' size engagements. Playing the events that take place before the story of Infinite would've been more interesting. Perhaps as flashbacks once you clear out or arrive at a new area where a big battle took place.
