There’s a Dutch lady living here I helped out who is like 6’3” and dwarfs me. I met her husband the other day and he’s like 6’8”. Crazy genetics those people.

When my bro was still in Amsterdam with his American friends it was always so weird to see people the size of children that look like adults.
His group in particular was only short kings. At 6"1 I'm just about above average of what the girls consider 'tall hot'. Lots of them have a 'minimum height 6"0' clause in their dating bios.


In hindsight I see what I did wrong with L.

I moved too quickly. In the end her last joke was funnier than mine. If the choices were, somewhat funny guy / somewhat funny + ripped guy. I just lost the game.

Had I continued to escalate a little more and more smoothly transitioned into asking her out and not mentioned anything about 'why u like me' I would've had a better shot when she looked at her messages again. I also think that she may have literally meant laughing at people that need to work and might've been dissapointed I had to work and proposed saturday instead of that same day. Oh well, I wish her bubbly 9/10 ass the best. She allowed me to compare her to the 'buddy' girl and that confirmed something I suspected for a while. 

It's also time to change up the interests to things I want to do, instead of what I'm currently doing. Because those give a buddy vibe, when in reality I've barely touched a video game for 3 months. I'd like to hit more beach clubs but I'm not buying the lads champagne to get drunk and I want to do more city trips around Europe but visiting Paris and Berlin with dudes, not appealing to me. 

In fact I realized with buddy girl that I don't enjoy watching movies with people that yap about them. Don't like cinema visits with co-workers either. I like to read in bed or just work through 50 pages in an hour to soak up knowledge but bookclubs or whatever boring as hell. With videogames the same, I get awfully bored when it's a friendly bout of Smash Bros with someone who barely knows the buttons. If 32F doesn't respond by dinner time I'm calling it quits and I'll tell her to put in her profile she's looking for a buddy and add some interests because there's plenty of guys who want just that.
 
In her profile 33F wasian states she wants someone to train and coach her for the marathons. Making her sweat, now that's something I'm interested and willing to invest my time in. 
Fun and original first date too, little jog along the beach, drinks at the beach club after.
