FYI, I worked in a mens prison. It's considered more dangerus than working with women or juveniles but more desirable. The kids want to fight and be assholes because officers can't go hands on when they get out of control like we can with aduts. The juveniles know that and want to push buttons the whole time. Women ask "why" when you try to keep them in compliance and follow policy. They will argue with you over petty things all the time. Men are, counterintuitively, easier to work with but also more likely to kill you. It's a trade off.
