I was watching the morning news here in Seattle on King 5 and they mentioned these protestors specifically supported the October 7th attacks. Is that actually true?

Edit: This was in the their statement:

"We are taking this building amidst the current and renewed wave of the student Intifada, following the uprising of student action for Palestine after the heroic victory of Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7th, which shattered the illusion of zionist-imperialist domination and brought Palestine to the forefront for all justice-loving people of the world," wrote the protestors in the manifesto.

Highly doubtful. I haven't met anyone, no matter how pro-Palestinian, who supports actual acts of terrorism.

Every day is an October 7 in Gaza. That's what companies like Boeing are enabling. But instead we get concern trolling over October 7. The sheer racism to constantly prop up this up and ignore the sheer magnitude of atrocities that dwarf it in comparison. Anyone bringing up the October 7 comparison is not operating in good faith at this point in the conversation. There are tens of thousands of dead children and women, a famine and an ongoing genocide and people have the gall to drag this shit out again and again.

If you're going to go after me, please leave in my final sentence asking if it was actually true. I don't take what the media says at face value and was looking for confirmation one way or the other.

Your concern has been noted. Did you know that no food or supplies have entered Gaza since two months? That over a million children are at risk of an engineered famine?

I am well aware that what is happening in Palestine is a genocide and that the IDF and Israeli government should be drug into the international criminal courts and tried for their terrible actions. I was caught off guard by that statement in the morning news and was hoping to better understand what this specific group meant by their statements.

I'm sorry, I'm just mad at what mainstream media generally does - which is hijack the conversation to make it all about October 7. It's not specifically at you, but I did want to call out exactly what the intention is when they dredge this up again and again.

Meanwhile people in the Israeli government talk like this with zero fucking blips on Western media.

I'm just trying to understand the intention from this initial paragraph in this specific group's post concerning their protest last night:
