I hope you feel better soon. I know when I lived on my own in Japan, it was a major drag getting sick. It felt like my support network was on the other side of an ocean... because it was.
Do you have emergency contact information and stuff set up somewhere?
Thanks and if it got worse I have friends and resources. I’m too stubborn to resort to it but it’s gotten better enough that I’m comfortable making bad 2020 memory hole jokes. Just, especially with Tokyo sized apartments, it’s not great to be bottled up. Most routines like gym and cafes and even trains I wasn’t gonna risk for others. Even the worst of it on Saturday, I dragged myself out for a walk.
The most shocking part is learning how chicken noodle soup doesn’t exist here. Of all the soups.
