An original sickbay biobed originally created for the production of the film Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Paramount Pictures, 1979), used prominently through the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation (Paramount Television, 1987-1994). and later used in other Star Trek productions.

The sickbay bed is composed of fiberglass, resin, wood, and plastic, while the padded portion of the bed is lined in a suede-like material. The base of the bed is coated in a speckling finish with a rough texture. Evidence of lighting is present around the perimeter of the bed, with wiring showing, however the lights have not been tested for operation.
