I think that's one of the big divides between generations. If my smartphone magically disappeared. I'd still know how to live. It might suck at first but I know I can figure it out. Kids these days rely on it so much.
It's like the debate with smartphones in schools and parents freak out if they can't instantly talk to their kid. As a latchkey kid that blows my mind. My family didn't get a fuck what I did as long as I came home when the street lights came on. A world war could have started and I wouldn't have known till I read it in the paper the next day or decide to turn on the TV.
