Conversing with the liberal women in Canada I realized what I did wrong in my dating approach and how the culture has shifted after COVID. It's not the 60's or even the 90's anymore. Modern women basically use the dating apps to order men like they order Ubers. Only a very small percentage of mostly conservative women is 'dating to marry'. It's why there is ghosting or aversion to romantic 'do you want to be my gf' gestures, they don't want that. It also explains why my profile got me the Iranian and Christian girl from Kenya or the traumatized ones. Husband material.

You can argue that what they are doing is kind of shallow but for their WFH post-covid lifestyle it makes sense. They use the apps to order everything, they avoid any alone outdoor activities like bars. In Calgary with all the junks and homeless people that now included supermarkets and Hudsons Bay (which was shutting down). Just like with Uber drivers though, they want to hear their favorite music, you have to be a feminist liberal or pretend to be one on the profile. That also means that demand is bigger than supply or at least in Calgary it was. They filter out so many men that they limit their pool and then beyond the usual: well groomed, active life, tall, white, professional pictures they look mostly for fun and safe dates. And the biggest issue they run into is that their 'orders' refuse them because of their looks or weight or whatever.

My new profile aimed at this, already landed me 4 likes today, up from the usual 1 a day. One of them I would consider dating. It's just one of the 3 jokes they compliment really. One that literally references all this.

Men are just looking at this from a completely wrong angle and the conservatives are never going to be able to change the 'stay inside, WFH, order everything online' lifestyle of the young women back to going to church, working at the office or buying groceries so you can meet them in the wild. Don't overcomplicate shit either, wine is not the interest, it's "bring a bottle, traveling is "take me with you" and active lifestyle is "don't worry I haven't gotten fat". Just think what she's trying to order, hide or lie about on the profile and that's why it's on there.
