The way the Germans and Hollywood have conspired to rewrite history around WWII is remarkable.
You rarely ever hear of "The Germans"in films that touch on the war, but you certainly do hear about "The Nazis" quite a bit.
Make no mistake, the Nazis may have never had majority support politically, but they certainly had the popular support once they came into power. The army too may have resisted initially, but they always had the power to remove Hitler and there were many conspiracies to do just that and they never did. That's because the German military cohort shared the same ambitions as Hitler and the Nazis.
