I mean, hard leftists like excel advocate for collective solutions to most problems and adopt political messaging that consistently attributes outcomes to group membership rather than individual effort....but when it comes to the issue that young men find themselves struggling with, how to form and strengthen relationships, how to start a family, how to attract women, how to get out of depression caused by male-specific issue etc..all of a sudden they adopt a super right-wing stance that 'no one owes you that', 'invest in yourself first', 'women need to see value' 'of course your income, height, penis size, hair, etc matter, women see value in that and their needs need to be met...but please don't itemize women in the same way, that's sexist and patriarchal', etc. It's not necessarily wrong, but it feels like this inconsistency comes from spite and hostility for men specifically, whereas when the right tells you to 'man up' and improve your value, it at least seems consistent with the rest of their messaging, so it doesn't feel spiteful. Male psychology tends toward valuing individual agency, competition, and personal responsibility as pathways to achievement and when political messaging consistently attributes outcomes to group membership rather than individual effort (except when it comes to your personal relationships with the opposite sex), it conflicts with that very 'male' orientation. The left either needs to drop the identity/group-based explanations for outcomes thing they do or explain systemic issues like income inequality in a way that doesn't alienate people who see individual agency and responsibility as a path to achievement - because that's a very male-brained thing. And as we know from our wise trans elders, male and female brains are different.
