The weird thing I really don't get with people who use AI regularly, is the lack of achievement in it. My boss got really happy the other day when she saw that AI could summarize email threads for her, which to me was ridiculous as my jobs have always been about investigating data and situations, understanding all of the parties involved, and creating a solution that works. During this entire process there are so many instances of having to think critically and work on understanding what people are saying, what they want, what's happening, what's been said, what has been done, and then mentally create a timeline and general understanding. This part is to me rewarding and satisfying, and I know how much better I've become at critical thinking and problem solving by doing this. There's a tremendous sense of reward and accomplishment in getting good at these mundane things, and yet people who use AI just seem to want to skip every thing that could fulfill their lives.

There's no god, we're all just advanced monkeys, i moderated r/atheism for all of my 20s, but I didn't think a smarter monkey would come along, so I'm going to go back to the religious explanation that we have all have a divinely attributed, inordinate essence inside of us that can't be replaced by anything because it feels bad that another monkey is better at thinking through my brainlet e-mail job than me and nobody appreciates the human magicka that I contributed to the job!!! :(.
