While I quibble with some of Charlotte's specifics and the language choices*, I think they're on the right track. The males think identifying as women leverages that nature to their advantage while staying men it harms their social position. The men are doormats so their perception of women is people who get whatever they want, so if I just change what I identify as, people will automatically do what I want. The same logic underpins how they all immediately come out as "cumsluts" and wear all their fetishes proudly. To them, a woman doing that while having all their interests would be very attractive. The problem with most gender ideology is that it dismisses all of this being different personalities that exist across both sexes and inscribes it into the tomes of gender handed down by God. The men (or women going the other way) are convinced they can never succeed as their own sex, jumping into the other gives them a clean slate to start over without having to change anything about their personality.
