I don't even like his take on magic. Magic is boring if it would just translate to "oh so the wizard showers the rock in antigraviton particles so that's how you can make it float, let me build my own antigraviton particle machine", no magic is fun because it's inexplicable with science and inhabits it's completely own realm of logic that's incompatible with physics. I'm pretty sure that's also the idea in the DC universe which is why one of Superman's weaknesses is just labelled "magic"

I think they're trying to reconcile the Asimov concept of "sufficiently advanced technology", but yeah, magic is fucking magic and makes no pretense of having actual reproducible principles (but also usually has a bunch of arbitrary 'rules').

In DC, Hell is a literal physical place, and when people die if they're going to hell they, fuck, I dunno, get duplicated? into an exact physical copy of themselves to walk around in hell, but also, can in certain circumstances leave hell in which case they have their usual physical body outside of hell which outside of hell will be subject to the usual physical rules of a human body except their actual physical body is still in the grave or whatever, and it makes no fucking sense because it doesnt have to

supermans not weak to magic, he is just as affected by it as any regular joe is, so by comparison to being superman to regular stuff, he is comparatively weaker
