This reminds of that time Capcom did a really botched Twitter contest for SFV to add costumes into the game and one was Vega in speedo and there were men who freaked out, screaming it was too sexualised, made them uncomfortable and a lot of hypocritical things, resulting in a big effort to make sure it didn't win:

Just need to say that this is patently false. No one was upset about this. No men complained that it was "too sexualised" or that it "made them uncomfortable". No one. There was no coordinated effort of any kind to "make sure it didn't win." In fact, the only bitching was from certain people complaining about Juri winning the contest.

Yeah, the sexualisation and objectification of women in SF6 with this "swimsuit DLC" is insane and really gross, and made even worse when none of the male characters are portrayed like this (be it wearing skimpy thongs, poses or how jiggle physics are applied).

Reminder this dweeb is only upset because he's a gay man who wants to see men in thongs, having admitted he wants a DOA volleyball spin off with men only. Probably just angry Luke and Jamie aren't the ones with their cheeks out. By "really gross" he probably means both gross as in "morally offensive" and "I'm grossed out by women because I'm gay"

What could go a long way with these swimsuit outfits is if the matched the damn character. Would they prefer something elegant, practical, revealing, etc. Play with layering.

This is just "hurr, you can see her butt".

These criticisms are so disingenuous. The Street Fighter 6 swimsuits are all unique designs. None of them are the same, and all have a unique flavor for each character. They're just mad that the female swimsuits show skin, and it probably gives them an unwanted erection or whatever.
