Except you can't do that because your sex is not an allowed referent.

I still reject the idea that you can infer you feel like a male. Saying you don't have dysphoria simply begs the question. Handiness, emotions, pain, all have common referents. The feel of the other sex does not, you can't know it doesn't feel exactly the same, you're supposing there's a difference in feeling absent any evidence that there is. Nobody's ever experienced the other sex, billions have experienced the various emotions.

This comes back to the assertion being made in which in order to demonstrate you feel your sex or gender properly that you're going to compare and contrast stereotypes you hold about the genders and these are personal. There is an element to this in emotions as they differ across cultures but we've managed to get past that with simply language which I think can be taken as a display of the common referents. Whereas the most I've seen about being a man is wanting to penetrate things, as proven by turning literally anything that exists into a supposed metaphor for penetration. I don't find this very satisfactory as a hypothesis. And referring to the stereotypes is just reifying those gender roles that are supposedly being smashed by claiming if you can't open pickle jars and want to be penetrated that you're a woman.

As for any kind of self-referent, I approach this additionally from the mental health angle: they're rather obviously delusional. We don't trust that a schizophrenic is correct about what they experience, we don't trust anorexics or other eating disorders, we don't trust yts or yt adjacents claiming they know what it's like to be a different race, etc. But if someone claims a different sex we're supposed to pretend they're accurately accessing this. Why? On what grounds? It's the only thing where we reverse everything with no explanation.

I think it's the same as asking if someone feels like a human. Isn't it just as plausible that you feel like a tree?
