Nothing screams a certain open energy than "🔞 Minors dni." in the bio. 

I always wonder what they imagine people reading that will think and do. Like are they imagining some (presumably female) teenager who sees their tweets and is like "this queer fat disabled polyamorous artist is so awesome, I can't wait to slide into her DMs!" but then they see that and are like "oh shit, I better not."

Or are they doing a reverse psychology thing where they're hanging out MUST BE 18 signs in hopes you'll click "I'm 18" and view because you're a teenager and you don't believe in bad consequences. I think that one is way too intelligent for most of these people so I lean against it.

Just in general I don't understand the people who put these lists of irrelevant stuff in their profiles and how they think people who read it will take it. They must do it because other people do? I think very rarely in all my thirty-five years on Twitter/Bluesky have I seen a profile with these kinds of lists in it and the person has not been tweeting something stupid. (It's not a "leftist" thing, on Twitter all the MAGA accounts are like "MOM. DOG LOVER. GRANDMOTHER. PRO-AMERICA. MAGA 4 LYFE. GO PACKERS. CHOPPER RIDES FOR COMMIES.")

Who reads some idiot tweeting about Gundams and Pokemon then looks at the profile and sees "queer, polyam, communist, anti-Zionist" and is like "holy shit this person is even more awesome than I thought"? You know what, don't answer that.

I always interpret it to mean that they will unhesitatingly divert any and all conversations into a sexualized—or at least highly questionable—direction, and rather than, y’know, exercising restraint, they just say “don’t message me kiddies” and hope that suffices for plausible deniability.
