Lets not forget that he's the head of the Turning Point organization that brings in close to $100 million in revenue per year. That's real cash, and not the one running the FBI.
Greed is not out of the running as a motive. More to the point why I hope they catch the guy because with all the motives this guy has flying around his corpse, he's gonna turn into the white Tupac at this rate.
